I was just confused at first. What's going on there is absolutely horrendous. Even Russia has all but given up on Syria, and their love for blocking our every effort in the region is immeasurable, so that's how dire the situation is.

The Local Co-ordination Committees activist network said at least 18 people were killed in the central city of Homs when government forces shelled two buildings the neighbourhood of Bab Tadmor.
Speaking to Al Jazeera from, Hadi al-Abdallah said: "The buildings were six-story buildings. Many families remain missing. It is hard to confirm the exact number of those killed."
He added that there is an escalation of violence on the part of security forces, especially in Homs' old neighbourhoods.
