Despite helping raise millions for Mitt Romney’s campaign, conservative billionaire David Koch still spent a small fortune on his celebratory fireworks display in Palm Beach on New Year’s Eve. Koch is a member of the Coconuts, a well-heeled, tuxedo-clad group which hosted an elegant party for 1,000 at the Flagler Museum. One guest told us, “The fireworks were even more spectacular this year. The show went on for over half an hour and could be seen by everyone in Palm Beach. The gossip was he must have spent $750,000 on them.” But a spokeswoman for Koch denied he’d spent that much, saying, “He’s a businessman. That number is far too inflated. The fireworks are for everybody to enjoy across the banks.”

was half asleep when the fireworks began. It was in the intracoastal so West Palm Beachers (the home of we peons) got to enjoy them also. Fifteen minutes would have been plenty...ugh..
