Gunfight at the US Corral...

Congress returns to business today. It is expected to be tumultuous and confrontational. Hopefully there will not be a "real" gunfight.

But there is a lot on the agenda. Do they add the ballroom to the bill to fund DHS and ICE? Thune has not shown any sympathy for the ballroom or the slush fund, requested by Trump and Blanche. Democrats see a political advantage in the whole mess.

Unfortunately, Chuck Schumer is the wrong messenger, in my opinion. He seems petty everytime he talks. The only thing that matters is whether or not he scores a political point. He cannot see the big picture, in my opinion.

There is an old saying to "not interfere with the enemy when he is destroying himself". Democrats might learn from this old adage?

We should expect that Trump has talked with the Republican caucus. He knows what he can and cannot get passed in the House and Senate. His polls suck. And the Republicans up for re-election in November know that. They are not ready to put their necks in the guillotine.

The Trump regime is a lot like the Ike Clanton gang. They are incompetent and drunk most of the time.
It's going to be wild.
