Looks like the first storm of the Atlantic hurricane

is developing off the texas coast. As of now, we are under a tropical storm watch. Looks like it may be another Humberto 2007.

This area has been in a drought and water restrictions imposed. The rain is welcome.

At one point yesterday, rain was coming down at a rate of about 4in an hour. The usual areas flooded. Not a lot of wind, just a lot of rain. More on the way, yay.

Right now, this storm may stay off my part of the gulf coast of Texas and go into near Louisiana. If the last weather report is accurate, this storm may not affect Houston and non-coastal counties that much. I was watching local news

the word rain is even whispered, will flood. Such a joy to live along the Gulf coast.

My oldest lives in the Heights and there has been some flooding in the area but not too near his house. I still remember Berly which passed right over my house (I got to experience the eye of a storm). There have been a ton of videos of street flooding out in the Woodlands. I was out at a client two weeks ago and some of the areas look similar to where my client's office is at.

We are keeping track of this storm.

getting around due to the various streets that are closed due to flooding. We've gotten some water along the edge of the streets in our area, but no flooding like in Harvey.

Also keeping track and laying in some supplies, just in case.

Harvey was a tropical storm when he flew out and by the time we got to the hotel it was a hurricane. We could not get back to Houston for almost a week. We followed Harvey on the Weather Channel and a website called Space City. We were on the first plane out of Orlando and were one of the first plane back in Houston (the airport parking garage was nearly empty and so we had no trouble finding the car). We had no water damage or flooding at either house. All of the access roads and places on the freeway had drained by the time we got home.

We are getting some water but this does not look too bad
