WATCH: Emmy-winning reporter and KWQC TV6 morning anchor Dustin Nolan was visibly emotional as he announced on-air Friday that he’s quitting both the station and the news industry. He said the newsroom owed viewers “more than trends or sanitized news”

And not just for area sports teams, although that happens a lot, too. But they seem to go out of their way to cover any event that’s predicted to in bring jobs or visitors. New restaurant/entertainment venues get lots of attention.

And then there’s the “hilarious” chit chat between the anchors, weather, traffic and sports people. They’re just one big happy family, y’all!

Oh, they manage to put on their serious faces for a few minutes when something terrible has happened. But once that story’s over and they come back from a commercial break, they jump right back into their real job of cheerleading for the region, state and country.
