General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsThe number of viewers to the SOTU tonight will be very telling. I don't know how many
viewers have tuned into the "debates" and I guess it's not all that important. It would be nice however, if the President draws a huge amount of viewers to his speech. It will indicate how engaged the populous is in the state of our nation, and how many are paying attention. You know the speech will be informative and interesting. This should shake things up a bit and I will definitely tune into where ever Krauthamer will be opining. Faux I guess. His feedback, much to the chagrin of the right, is usually pretty straightforward.
Romney and his whining and pre-buttal is the best advertisement the President could have asked for.

(283 posts)2008 GWB - 37.5 million
2009 BHO - 52.3 (an 'address', not technically a SOTU)
2010 BHO - 48.0
2011 BHO - 42.8
Most people are tuned out...I predict 39 million.
I did get an e-mail inviting me to a local 'watch party' today.
BTW -
WJC 1994 - 45.8
GWB 2002 - 51.8 (months after 9-11)

(3,894 posts)Knowing that he abandoned so much of what he said was important to Candidate Obama when he took office, nay even before that when he chose his inaugural prayer leader... no, can't listen anymore, he's just not believable, or trustworthy, take your pick.

So maybe the ratings won't be all that telling.
