(23,137 posts)I posted in another thread earlier tonight that I think it's likely he's on life support as we speak. I expect that unless there's a leak, we won't hear anything until his passing is suddenly announced. Why all the secrecy? Damned if I know.
I could be dead (pun intended) wrong, of course. I'll be very interested to see what transpires.

(6,630 posts)It might be old age , empathy or insanity, but the man is very ill and he must be going through hell right now. I won't mourn him when he dies (that's the easy part), but for now I say leave the man alone.

(5,285 posts)"By rights, [Mitch] McConnell's tombstone should say that he presided over the end of the Senate. And I'd add a second line: 'He broke America.' No man has done more in recent years to undermine the functioning of the US government. He has been the epitome of unprincipled leadership, the triumph of tactics in pursuit of short-term power." -- Dana Milbank

Corrupt Politicians and Grafters (Circle 8, Pouch 5)
Known as barrators (those who sold public offices, took bribes, or traded political favors), these politicians are plunged into boiling pitch. The sticky tar represents their sticky fingers and murky dealings on Earth. The devils, known as the Malebranche, tear them apart with hooks if they surface.
And that is being kind!
