In Platner, they found a strong messenger -- but one with a string of controversies that have made him one of the Democrats' riskiest candidates in the 2026 midterm elections.

...do not reflect well on the due diligence of those who endorsed Platner. In large part, it was those rushed national endorsements that elevated a deeply flawed candidate to a level he did not deserve. The consultants and politicians who fast-tracked him left grassroots organizers to clean up an entirely preventable mess. IMHO.
