In Major Shift, Trump Admin Prioritizes Fight Against ‘Left-Wing Terror’ Over Islamic Extremism

The Trump administration’s effort to create a new bogeyman of left-wing terrorism has now resulted in a major policy change unveiled by Secretary of State Marco Rubio Thursday in a speech to officials from more than 60 countries whom he gathered in D.C.

Declaring Islamic terrorism “severely diminished,” Rubio said the counterterrorism apparatus must be retooled to confront the supposed threat from “far-left terror,” Reuters reports.

To this point, the administration has aimed to elevate political protestors and progressive groups and activists into a vast far-left “antifa” conspiracy at home — and link it up with imagined fellow travelers abroad with wild and unsubstantiated claims of international coordination and connections. Establishing a (flimsy) link to international terrorism — a related effort which has been spearheaded by White House counterterrorism czar Sebastian Gorka and Rubio — seems intended to invoke counterterrorism powers under U.S. law that simply don’t exist for combating domestic terrorism.

Rubio’s speech was a tour de force of disinformation, unsubstantiated conspiracy theories, and guilt by associations. He threw around terms like “Marxist” and “communist” while baselessly alleging that Iranian proxy networks are “intimately tied” to leftist militant groups and claiming that the George Floyd protests was left-wing terrorism that had been swept under the rug.

In short, they're trying to criminalize liberal (or what they call, "woke" ) THOUGHT.

2. Well, Trump and his far Reich nationalists and supremacists have

so far, successfully albeit illegally, managed to demonize immigrants by branding them 'criminals and rapists' and 'eaters of cats and dogs.'

I say successfully because they've been able to round up, abduct, imprison, immigrants, women, even children - most of whom had no criminal record, many of whom were productive members of their community, and/or working through the legal process - kidnapping them even from courtrooms, and locking them up indefinitely and without representation or due process -

All of which has been accomplished (so far) without nearly as much outrage as one might have imagined.

So perhaps, they hope to dehumanize US as well, by branding us 'domestic terrorists' and accomplices to some enemy state.

Wouldn't be a first.

5. Well, personally I think Trump has

effectively committed some form of treason a dozen times over by now but that's my opinion. While others are content to argue technicalities as to why that isn't so.

Nonetheless, mind you, the guy who stood before us beating the 2020 stolen election dead horse the night before, in an effort to influence (correction... 'take over' were HIS words) elections,

is the SAME guy who was behind the fake electors plot in 2020 -complete with bogus documents to present to the national archives, in yet ANOTHER attempted fraud upon the American people.


That alone, for which any... one... worth his or her salt should've charged, tried, convicted, and locked him the f-up.
