America - The Missing Years
John Prine, American singer/songwriter legend, once had a song called Jesus, The Missing Years, in which he questioned how one of the most influential persons in history, the Savior Himself, was totally lost from the time he was twelve years old until he was thirty-three? How was that possible? But there is nothing recorded about him in the Bible or anywhere else for all those years.
America, some would have us believe, disappeared after Donald Trump approved the COVID vaccine in 2020 and was not heard from again until January of 2025. At the urging of Donald Trump, a mob did not come to Washington to disrupt the certification of Joe Biden on January 6th of 2021. They did not try to "stop the steal". They were not a violent group. They did not assault the law enforcement and they did not threaten the lives of elected Representatives.
Joe Biden did not inherit a mess. People were not involved in protecting their lives from a worldwide pandemic. It was not a controversial time. It was not a challenging time for our economy, with unemployment and inflation affecting everyone. Then, the people elected Donald Trump for a second time in November of 2024. Everything that had happened from January 2021 until January 2025 had disappeared from history.
Donald Trump had been robbed of his election in 2020 and the people corrected their "mistake" in 2024. The election had been "rigged", the people were told. They were permitted to believe that the Biden years were all a lie. They no longer existed or ever did exist. The Trump presidency continued and the golden years resumed. America was missing four years but no one noticed and no one remembered.
