I was driving home following a Celebration of Life

and something occurred to me out of the sheer blue. You know the times when you have your cruise control and aided by your driver assist which won’t let you creep up on someone and keeps you between the lines, and you’re paying attention but are somewhat relieved of certain driving duties which are more or less automatic if you’re a seasoned competent driver? Well, I was motoring along and had an Aha! moment.

Remember before the midterm elections when the Democrats were about to lose their majority in the House and/or Senate? What was the third story about every night on the news? It was: “When the Republicans take over, there are going to be many many subpoenas and indictments of Democrats so they had best “lawyer up” (I despise that expression) because each and every one of them may be facing jail time.”

Yep….watch out for Jim Jordan and James Comer! They’re coming’ to getcha!! Yeah…well, that didn’t happen to any significant extent and Jacketless Jim Jordan seems to have vanished into the ether utterly and totally. Take note of the fact that all these young Congressional “studs” and “rising stars” 🤮 like Jordan, Boebert, and MJT-G, are but shadows today. Unimportant unless you’re looking for a hand job st the theatre or wrestler-abuse. The last of the three found out what getting on her Fuhrer’s bad side entailed.

So why aren’t we hearing of hearings and subpoenas and jail time for Republicans who actually have admitted to committing crimes while in office? Does the media believe that the Democrats are just going to “move on”? All I can say is that they best better not and should appoint a Senate Select Committee to investigate the Trump family, administration, and the facilitators who profited in one way or another. And you know what else? They should appropriate funds to build a couple of prisons in grotesque areas of the country to house these individuals following their convictions. I might suggest the wildernesses of North Dakota and Montana. Both red states so the inmates will feel right at home. We are humanistic that way.

Yep. That’s my two cents. I have spoken!

Where the wilderness would be defaced. May I suggest a better option such as GITMO? It's location is ideal, the tropical weather they like yet nearly impossible for a J6 style jail break attempt or anything of the sort. It's a SUPERMAX made just for their type.

Leave the wilderness alone, please, there isn't much of it left and we need it more than most can imagine. Once those are gone, and they are fragile, the rest of us are screwn.

R's can investigate D's but not the other way around. It's never partisan, or waisting time to investigate D's. It's always partisan and waisting time when R's are investigated.

And he'll be gone in the next Congress. I hope he does pass on his materials.

And then there are these Senators and Representatives who are normally the ones to go after him and I think they will continue. Elijah likely has a whole dossier on all of the crooks as does Scheff and Raskin.

No hearing now against Dems because they can't find anything to go after them about and the m are up stuff wasn't flying .

The only driver assist I ever had passed away a few years ago. I've never owned a car with such advanced features but I didn't need one! It wasn't nagging or anything, it was honesty. I've still got some teenager to this day in my right foot. And I tell you what, it stuck! Anytime I catch myself speeding or changing lanes with out signaling or doing any of the things that other drivers do that irritate me I hear her voice in my head and smile and slow down lol. Best driver assist system in the world! (Yes no sadness here only a celebration every day as the OP's header referenced!)

And I agree, I want swift investigations but this time armed to the teeth. It's time to play real hardball. 105 mph fastballs if/when we win. I hope we are keeping a list of names. While he or his displacement Shady can pardon people, they can't pardon them from everything. They can't prevent re-instating and enforcing anti-trust laws. As far as I know they can't pardon corporations or businesses. And much of this stuff has been committed at the state level so with the help of a Dem congress and hopefully a Dem federal govt those granted sweeping pardons can be prosecuted in friendly states.

Note, wasn't trying to hijack your great post but for whatever reason it triggered that memory, thank you!
