We are not going to ban guns

We can control guns. We have controls on guns and those controls will become tighter. Better.

We can, and we must, work to keep guns from certain people. We can and must provide for being able to remove guns from individuals who pose a threat with a gun in their hands.

But forget banning all guns, it just isn't going to happen. Instead focus on better controls.

Guns and magazines could still be owned, possessed, sold, traded, and used.

2. Yes. And, let's please not make this about race, or us versus them, except as it brings us together.

First, fuck the NRA. Not every comment in support of some level of responsible gun ownership is an NRA talking point.

Second, and talk of white male privilege is just a distraction. Don't do it. It makes your ass look big.

Third, as described well by Michael Moore and others, this is about poverty, drugs, inequity, and matters far more serious that simple gun rules.

Put on your thinking caps, DUers.

And put on your grownup pants, too!

It's way too important.
