I got a anti-flu vaccination flyer in my door today, it consisted mostly of stuff from "Age Of Autism" and Joseph Mercola.
Lots of alarmist woo, I simply threw it out.

(12,081 posts)He has never had a bad reaction to a vaccination and has never regressed. In fact he has made continual progress through the years. He does have a fear of needles though so we may have to look into getting the flu vaccine spray instead of the shot.

(101,339 posts)They realise that if they repeat Mercola etc.'s crap on the internet, they'll be debunked by someone with a brain. But flyers will find the people who don't actually follow internet discussions, or read newspapers. So they'll find the occasional gullible person who trusts them to tell the truth (because the average person won't expect a doctor to lie about health as much as Mercola does), they won't see anything to rebut it, and - hey presto, they've put more people in danger. And Mercola may make a bit more money.
