Are we done talking about the Steubenville rape case yet?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2259936/EXCLUSIVE-Malik-Richmond-suspect-shocking-Ohio-rape-case-allowed-Californian-holiday-house-arrest.html

EXCLUSIVE: Suspect in shocking Ohio rape case allowed to go on Californian holiday while under 'house arrest'

One of the accused in the Ohio rape case that has outraged America enjoyed a six day holiday in California and watch a football game while supposedly under house arrest, it emerged today.

MailOnline has learned that Steubenville High School Football star Ma’lik Richmond was granted permission to travel to the Sunshine State between December 31 and January 5.

The defendants have been under home arrest since their release from detention in October. A condition of that release is that they wear electronic bracelets and travel only to Jefferson Juvenile Alternative School and home again.

But, Mr Abdalla said, that ‘plans had been made and an intinerary set’ by the Agresta family before knowing that Ma’lik was going to be released to them and this was factored into the ruling'.

Playing Defense: Richmond's legal guardians, Greg and Jennifer Agresta went on Today yesterday to stand up for him but also admitted they hadn't asked him if he had taken part int he attack.

Sure. Let's not let a little something like a rape charge and house arrest interfere with the little darling's recreational activities.

I have seen law violations by him and his team on every one of the few shows I have watched.

A family friend in Hawaii has said that he and his team have been backed down at gun point a few times and several of the henchman have had the crap beaten out of them. They have been wetted down as well

If his parents? Not sure if they are or not... if his guardians had travel plans made then for them to take care of him, they probably had to take him with them.

I can just imagine how the alleged victim and her parents feel. How would you feel if your daughter were raped and the suspect was allowed to take a vacation?

Any touristas with JEFFERSON COUNTY, OHIO tags, asking for directions to Disney, Epcot, Cypress, or Silver Springs; actually ANYWHERE in Florida gets the same answer: "Take 95, 75, NORTH three hundred miles/I-10 WEST about five hours." Near the Georgia line here, we don't need them to SEE SUNNY FLORIDA.

People find it hard to believe some of the stuff that goes on in small towns. You can literally get away with murder if you're in with the right crowd. The next town over had a dude commit "suicide" by stabbing himself in the back. Twice. Fortunately the grieving widow was able to console herself by marrying the cop that investigated it.

Stuff like that is why the Steubenville case doesn't shock me. It disgusts me and angers me, but it doesn't shock me at all.

I haven't been able to stop thinking about this story - and being further outraged every day by the news that does come out - since I first read about it...nearly five months AFTER the alleged crime took place. (I am using the word "alleged" only because I truly want to retain a basic sense of faith in the judicial sysem, but in this case, my faith is slim to none.)

I'm not a violent person, but this is really testing me. I just can not believe these bastards get to go about their lives, as if they were just normal people, instead of sick little monsters. I keep envisioning all of the truth coming out. I can only hope enough people put enough pressure to get these people to have real consequences for what they have done. It has to involve a writing campaign to all those involved in the ugliness who seem to aid and abet these criminals. That creep MN got kicked out of school which is a step in the right direction. Pressure needs to be put on Kent state not to admit the other creep.
I feel that this is going to be a long process. It just blows me away that some of the people in this town don't seem to recognize a group of sick predators. Those parents that sued the blogger, says it all.

And I think that's appropriate. I don't think it came to their attention because with the wrestler no charges were filed and their names weren't out in front like Nodianos. I think they'll see which texts and pics involve them, and can be verified and then boot him. I do respect that they are apparently verifying that info they might use wasn't obtained illegally. Not for these d-bags but for the precedent it will set. I'm not concerned that there isn't enough info without the hacked stuff. I haven't forgotten and i'm waiting for the trial on Feb 13th.

As to the kid out on house arrest who went to California, one good thing to come out of it was that it put this back in the public eye for a bit. And it was another example of how the court is treating the boys.
