Actually, adoption seems a bigger problem than "marriage for all".

I want to add, though, that the size of the protest is not extremely large, by French standard. Protests for death penalty, against civil unions were all at least as large and the laws passed.

It is clear the French government intends to pass the law, and there are a majority of French people supporting it. So, it will pass.
