or something on those lines against one or both of the child's parents.

Very odd.

The child said a stranger took her. She was lead to a house nearby where a teenager kept her for a while. She was then taken to that area where she was left.
As far as the clothes, that is SOP for child abductors. Many know to immediately change the clothes and hair.
She is being checked out at a hospital and so far it is reported she is ok on that front.

She may have been told not to "tell" about what may have been done to her, or her abductors would kill her parents, or something on those lines.

They'll do a full exam, I'm betting, to rule out any possibility of abuse.

The stranger to the child may not have been a stranger to one or both parents.

If they are immigrants, and they came from the middle east, southwest asia or north Africa, they likely have a known enemy that did this.

There is a long tradition of kidnapping/hostage taking there which we in the west just do not quite fathom. We consider it the worst thing EVER to do, they view it as a compassionate way to compel people to do their bidding (really). They do not appreciate the "psychological torture" aspect; they believe that if they feed their hostages adequately and keep them warm and safe, that means that they were treated as "guests" and not prisoners.

It is a VERY different mindset; it something that is a real cultural disconnect between ME/SWA/NA cultures and those of Europe/the west.

That school, nonetheless, has some 'splainin' to do, letting that child be pulled away from their custody by someone who is a stranger to her.
