Conservatives whine about Sarah Palin ‘bullying’ at Golden Globes

(Who?)

http://tv.msnbc.com/2013/01/14/conservatives-whine-about-sarah-palin-bullying-at-golden-globes/

Most of the world has either forgotten (or would like to forget) Sarah Palin, but Hollywood won’t let us forget. And thank goodness!

Game Change, the made-for-HBO movie about Sen. John McCain’s reckless selection of Palin as the GOP’s vice presidential nominee in 2008, won three Golden Globes Sunday night, including best motion picture or miniseries made for television, best actress for Julianne Moore, and best supporting actor for Ed Harris’ portrayal of John McCain.

“I would like to give a shout out to two people who made a significant difference in the 2008 election—Tina Fey and Katie Couric,” Moore said in her acceptance speech in an obvious reference to Fey’s hilarious impersonation of Palin on “Saturday Night Live” and Palin’s embarrassing interview with Couric.

(snip)

“This show [Game Change] won three Golden Globes last night, and you know why?” conservative talker Rush Limbaugh asked on his radio show Monday afternoon. “So that everyone involved could walk up to the stage and once again bash Sarah Palin, knowing full well there wouldn’t be anyone there to defend her. Knowing full well there isn’t going to be anyone today to defend her.”

(end snip)

What about you, Rash, aren't you here to defend her? You wanna talk about bullies? I remember a candidate for vice presidente who "targeted" Democrats including Gabby Giffords with gun sites icons. So, ya wanna talk about bullying?

Her 15 minutes looks like its finally run it's course (except for the few, lonely freepers whose fixation revolves around lots of cheetohs :rofl . She was box office poison during the past election. Not only did Willard avoid being in the same time zone with her so did almost every other candidate...including teabaggers. Faux...who couldn't have her on enough a couple years ago dumped her off of Greta's treehouse onto "Faux Business" that has about the same number of viewers as you can count on your fingers. There aren't the book tours or even the chicken dinner speeches. The gravy is drying up...her political career ended when she quit as governor and her celebrity has flamed out as well.

And ended up far angrier at McCain and Shultz for what they nearly did to this country. They knew what they were doing as she showed her ignorance during the campaign but they did it anyway. Then we're supposed to feel kindly towards them for not voting for her.

After that movie I can't hate her. I hate what she stands for but I feel sorry for her. She doesn't even know how really dumb she is. She thought she was getting real love when the teabaggers fell all over themselves over her. But then she and her family are true grifters. They had their day and they laughed all the way to the bank, but they don't have the adulation they still crave. I can see how it eats away at her. She anorexic and pitiful now, trying hard to say something that tops the crazy things she got so much teabag adoration for in the past.

12. "Bullying" is the right wing's new word: Obama "bullying" the House GOP, Hollywood "bullying" Palin

Standard Operating Procedure for right wing rhetoric: they saw how effective the concept of bullying was for particular causes on the Left, and how it has become a major issue in American culture in general. They are thus very interested in appropriating it for their own purposes. We know, of course, that the right has two modes. When in power, projection of confidence beyond any warrant, bluster, chest-pumped out stupidity. When out of power, the saddest victim-complex rhetoric in all of history, sadder even than the Nazi Versailles victim rhetoric. So, of course "bullying" plays right into their mental maps. They did the same thing with "tolerance" (this is just a variation on the theme). Rather than tolerance of an actual disadvantaged class, they claimed intolerance of their intolerance - such that racists and homophobes were not being treated with the proper respect. Now they'll do the same with "bullying," so much so that the whole concept will be more or less unusable in a few years. Their own record on this is clear: anti-bullying provisions are really part of the "gay agenda" for the GOP; they oppose them because homophobia and gay-bashing are just part of the religious freedoms we all hold so dear. But now they like the idea of "bullying," so long as they can turn it back on the Hollywood lie-berals, and etc.

The sad part is that many centrist Dems actually fall for this sort of nonsensical turn-around shite (think of every idiot white guy who wondered why he can't say n*gger if the, um, black people, um, can say it).

Double standards much?
