Please sign this WH Petition to make Birthers pay for wasting your tax dollars

The petition is self-explanatory:

Mandate the AG to seek sanctions, costs, and attorneys' fees to recover taxpayer funds used to defend birther lawsuits.

Full text:

Hundreds of repetitious and frivolous lawsuits have been filed challenging President Obama's status as a natural born citizen. These lawsuits have clogged up the courts and cost the taxpayers millions of dollars in court costs and attorneys' fees.

We, the taxpayers, respectfully petition for an Executive Order or directive to the Attorney General to seek to recover taxpayer funds expended in defending frivolous Birther lawsuits by requesting sanctions, costs, and attorneys' fees in each and every pending or future case.

I know that this is unlikely to get 25,000 signatures and even if it did I doubt the President would let petition dictate policy but this is more to send a message to Birthers who think they are more than a bunch of fringe RWNJ's.

3. I agree with it in principle

But it will never happen. It's a political issue Obama won't touch it, even in his second term. Yes, the suits are frivolous and ridiculous. I think it's better to let it die a slow death. Any response will just feed into the tinfoil hats.

Here is some background information. Over the weekend Birther Orly Taitz filed a petition asking Obama to resign and called him a criminal. It was reported and pulled for violating the Terms of Participation. It had almost 1000 signatures when pulled. We can at least get that many.
