Sandy Hook "Truthers" Harrassing Man Who Protected Children

...the extreme right cannot deal with reality so they invent a new one and start harrassing decent people.

TUESDAY, JAN 15, 2013 04:45 AM PST
This man helped save six children, is now getting harassed for it
Gene Rosen sheltered six kids during the Sandy Hook massacre. Now he's become a target of conspiracy theorists

“I don’t know what to do,” sighed Gene Rosen. “I’m getting hang up calls, I’m getting some calls, I’m getting emails with, not direct threats, but accusations that I’m lying, that I’m a crisis actor, ‘how much am I being paid’?” Someone posted a photo of his house online. There have been phony Google+ and YouTube accounts created in his name, messages on white supremacist message boards ridiculing the “emotional Jewish guy,” and dozens of blog posts and videos “exposing” him as a fraud. One email purporting to be a business inquiry taunted: “How are all those little students doing? You know, the ones that showed up at your house after the ‘shooting’. What is the going rate for getting involved in a gov’t sponsored hoax anyway?”

snip

What did Rosen do to deserve this? One month ago, he found six little children and a bus driver at the end of the driveway of his home in Newtown, Connecticut. “We can’t go back to school,” one little boy told Rosen. “Our teacher is dead.” He brought them inside and gave them food and juice and toys. He called their parents. He sat with them and listened to their shocked accounts of what had happened just down the street inside Sandy Hook Elementary, close enough that Rosen heard the gunshots.

There are no laws to arrest people for what might happen. However there is a specific law against this, as they are interfering with another persons civil rights. Mr. Rosen was advised to contact the FBI and last I heard, that is what he did.

Why? He had a terminal disease and knew his book wouldn't be published until he was dead.

So which is it:

1. Ted Kennedy was oddly incurious or too dumb to figure it out, and Bobby kept secrets from him about their own brother's death;

2. Ted Kennedy lied in his book to be published posthumously about what he and Bobby knew;

I have previously posed this as the "Ted Kennedy, liar or coward" question, but I see you have already opted for "coward".

In order for my remarks to be clearly understood, I guess we should clear up some terminology issues. What exactly is the definition of a "Truther"? I've never really gotten a straight answer on this. Though I don't belong to any clubs or official organizations, I've allowed people to call me a truther as convenient shorthand for 9/11 skeptic. Clearly a mistake, because according to this and many other threads of late, it means I'm exactly like a Sandy Hook/Birther/Moon Landing CTer, the "lowest of the low" and "scum of the earth"... So what are truthers? Are they, as some would have you believe, de facto members of a monolithic group of mentally ill people who believe every CT? I don't believe most CTs, but I do have doubts about some details of the official story of 9/11. So am I a truther or not? If not, what am I, and if I am, is it fair to call me and everyone like me, scum?

IF there were ever a rational excuse for the big brotherism in this country, this is where it should be put to use. If these buttheads want to terrorize , threaten and harass this man for being a good Samaritan, they should be identified by the big brother mechanisms in place, and prosecuted as domestic terrorists. That might put a little big of cognition in place for people who have a penchant for such activity. And I wonder how much some of them are being paid for being the insolent assholes that they appear to be. And all their identities should be made public so that everyone can see who it is that does this kind of crap and they can be further ostracized for it.

What looks good when aimed at the other side can look pretty ugly when it comes back at you.

But I don't see how we would have to give up any freedoms by making it illegal to systematically harass someone, so as to interfere with his freedoms, as well as his pursuit of happiness.

Free speech doesn't mean you can yell 'fire' in a crowded theatre; it doesn't mean you can print something libelous; and it shouldn't mean you can make someone's life miserable with unwanted and threatening communications.

Then you clearly do not understand a thing about the true nature of human emotion. I have explained time and again that these "grieving people" in Newtown are a bunch of damn frauds and liars.
Watch ANY interview with them, and you will see that their emotions are feigned, forced and faked whenever discussing the "incident."

This is a far different response from the people who went through real school shootings like the ones at Columbine and Virginia Tech.

You are free to disagree with me, and join your pals Boogieman and Chip.

But don't think for a second that ANY of the emotion displayed by these losers is REAL.

It's all fake, and they are lying to promote an agenda of total disarmament.

think this is the most disgusting thing I've ever read actually and I've read some horrible shit. and they say Muslims are bad? Compared to Muslims we look like the Devil. Rage is a good word here. and I'm seriously not the sort to punch someone. (which came up recently but I'll leave that to myself) Best thing I can do is. So you guys support Israel. Did you know your extremely pro Iran. Because the heads in Iran are ahem Holocaust truthers. They didn't see it thus it didn't happen. The 9/11 conspiracy is bush and chewy blew the towers up not that it didn't happen. I don't believe in that one specifically. because one Bush had no brains and Dick I wouldn't give him that much credit.

But I can't put to words on my feelings of this "bullshit" All I can say is it's the typical bait crap where they do these things to provoke a reaction so they feel like see we are right he's a nutcase. or See they hate us. See that guy is full of hate and rage.

I've never watched the Star Trek Remake (hate <--- yes I do hate) hate the word reboot. but brother had it on. and I guess (spoiler alert) the older spock told the younger kirk to attempt to get the younger spock to show his emotions thus he's been emotionally compromised and thus no longer captain. Spock. ie hi I'm spock I have no emotion Spock.... Which is to suggest that even a person without any emotion can be pushed so far and still have emotion. Although the Amish would be one in Witness to think they have no emotion if someone bullies them but Harrison Ford doesn't like that so he goes off. But whether thats pure fiction or reality I don't know.

To do so implies they seek or speak the truth, when the fact is they are in denial of the truth.

There's a pattern here. Any horrendous tragedy that questions their beloved guns has got to be the result of some major conspiracy. No, a guy couldn't have gone evil or nuts and murdered twenty children with Major Peacemaker, even though this sort of thing has happened before and they haven't disputed it. No, Newtown is a conspiracy, and there's no coincidence they harass the guy with the Jewish name. That's a pattern, too.

I can see this is going to turn tragic, all because some people insist that closer look will tell us two and two is six.

63. It's similar to the "truther" crowd accusing the firemen of being in on 9-11

the very same firemen who lost over 300 trying to rescue their fellow citizens – pure scum. And not coincidentally, the "truthers" accuse the building owner with a Jewish name of being in on the tragedy.

66. I also object to the moniker "truthers" in the OP

The OP very well knows that this term is used in conjunction with 9/11 and the many unexplained occurrences on that day. They are called "truthers", because they are bound and determined to dig out the truth instead of just accepting explanations that cannot be supported by facts or physics.

By using that hot button term we have some on here making the false assumption that ALL conspiracy theories are bogus. Tell that to Gulf of Tonkin, the incubator attack story in Kuwait just before the the first Iraq war, Downing Street Memos...

This story is a tragic one and the sick assholes who harass this man should be thrown in jail, but please don't use this tragedy as a platform for declaring that the word "conspiracy" shouldn't be in the English dictionary. Its an actual word, and it describes an actual thing.

The so-called physics arguments by the Truther Nutjob Brigade have been debunked over and over and over and over and over again.

Actually, the 911 Truthers are perhaps worse, since there's actual video of the planes hitting the buildings.

Domestic Terrorists need to be held accountable.

Never a good mix. Add guns, which many of these people seem to have a shit-load of nowadays, and you've got a recipe for disaster.
