Obama sworn in for second term, tells daughter Sasha, 'I did it.' http://tpm.ly/13T8MSm

President Obama was sworn in for his second term in the Blue Room of the White House just before noon Sunday, administered by Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts. Obama took the oath of office with a Bible from first lady Michelle Obama's family.

Obama hugged members of his family. "I did it," he said to daughter Sasha, after hugging her.

And a great First Family as well.

Now if only the rethugs in Congress could put their obstructionist
agenda aside, we could get something constructive done.

As a retired newsperson, that offended me HUGELY!!! That unbelievably, profoundly historic soundbite - the first black President taking his Oath of Office, and IDIOT there fucks up the soundbite. For all time. Notice how the coverage from then on had to bail out, quickly, after the "I, Barack Hussein Obama, do solemnly swear"? They couldn't go on with it after that. Because IDIOT just totally fucked up the soundbite. Denied all of posterity that beautiful and marvelous and majestic and ground-breaking and history-making oath-taking. And what's so galling is that it wasn't as though he didn't have time to practice, and it wasn't as though he didn't know THIS part of his duty as Chief Justice was coming in about two months. It wasn't like he had no forewarning or anything...

IDIOT JERK.

... and he said every word intentionally as if from a script
to repay BushCo for appointing him CJSCOTUS.

What an asshole. He shares a lot in common with BushCo.

You didn't build that Mr. President -- we did!

The millions of us who believed, after eight years of Bush/Cheney, that there had to be a better way. The millions of us that gave money, phone banked, knocked on doors, wore "Hope" shirts, and put Obama/Biden stickers on our cars, and voted to elect you -- twice!

We did it!..and we're very proud of you today!

Also, Sasha's real issue should have been with John Roberts, whose fumbling caused the double oath taking in 2009.

I hope that John got to stay and have home-brew with the drinking-aged first family.
