What's the deal with the F-16's and Abrahms....

Tanks we are sending to Egypt? I keep pulling up a lot of right winger sites that aren't very informative....is this really a good idea considering the somewhat shakey ground we are on with the Morsi regime?

3. I'm having a hard time understanding the reasons...

...that the Obama admin is giving for transferring these weapons to Egypt. Kerry basically said it was because Mubarak ordered them in 2010, but we could very easily hold up the order....that happened with the delivery of 4 guided missile destroyers and f-14 planes and repair parts back in the late 70s in Iran...I'm not so sure Morsi's government is stable or friendly enough, although an F-16 is a 30 y/o design and both are probably base style models...

2. I would figure out where the F-16s an Abrahms tanks are

manufactured and then identify the senators and congresscritters in those states/districts... probably a good bet that is who is behind the sale.

I'm not comfortable with this at all....I'm not convinced the Morsi govt wouldn't use those planes and tanks against us...

Of google searches turned up Fox News, fox nation, the freepers, CBN, raptureintheair.c o m, minuteman.c o m....etc,etc...as sources.... I don't have an answer to my righty associates who are needling me with this...I didn't know enough about it to give any kind of informed opinion and most of those sites information left a lot to be desired....
