Is this ban abortion stuff coordinated? Now Washington State too

particularly odious bill

http://slog.thestranger.com/slog/archives/2013/01/25/republican-bill-would-outlaw-all-abortion-in-washington-state

"The bill also calls for a monthly report documenting how many 48-hour notices have been issued, as well as "the pregnant woman's age, the number of prior pregnancies and prior abortions of the pregnant woman" to be made available to the public."

vile shite. It seems this stuff is reaching a fever pitch.

One day she was crying, told me she was pregnant and didn't want to bring a baby into the kind of world she lived in. I felt really bad for her. A few weeks passed and she'd panhandled and prostituted enough money for an abortion and asked me if I could give her a ride to the clinic next week. I did, and I waited for her and paid for a two night stay at a nearby hotel afterward because it wasn't the best weather.

Before I met her I never cared about the abortion issue one way or the other, but when I saw how terrified she was at the thought of having a child burdened with her life, it broke my heart. It's not for me to judge, nor is it my right to take hers away.

How she would even manage to have a safe/healthy pregnancy given her situation.

her she wasn't safe or healthy herself. She was a nice person, she just got mixed up with the bad stuff. It happens. I can't imagine what she must have been going through.

Would have tried to stop the abortion, even with all of the negative factors. Of course they would never offer to raise it themselves.

Life is hard. I'm sorry she has ended up this way, and I hope she can find a way out.

I'm related to someone who is using, out of work over 2 years, refuses to respond to ads paying below what he was making before. Hasn't used his time to retrain (he had money for it, but wouldn't). He's currently living off the generosity of family, but he will be turned out soon because he's so abusive and they can't take it any more. He could end up like this woman: desperate.

the power of veto. This shit is nothing new however. It's been going on for decades and it's how abortion rights have been whittled away across the country. That it's going nowhere in WA doesn't mean that measures like this won't be passed in other states.

We have to be careful though. The republicans have made serious runs for governorship and will continue to try and take power and pass laws just like this one.

And if so, this WA law would be unconstitutional because HIPAA is federal law, right?
