I agree with Wayne LaPierre

He said there are absolutes in this country and I agree with him. There is bullshit and there is ABSOLUTE bullshit. You, Wayne LaPierre are a living example of ABSOLUTE bullshit every time you open your ignorant mouth about the second amendment.

You leave ABSOLUTELY no doubt that you are an idiot.

from 2 million to 4.2 million. Even given the highest number, though, the percentage of the US population (currently around 315 million) represented by this cretin is under 2%. Remind me again why he should be setting US policy on guns, gun control or anything else.

One of America's biggest manufacturing sectors, and a major source of export revenue.

(BTW, I made up the 90% number. We all know that 75% of statistics quoted on the internet are made up as it is typed. .

I prefer to consider your number as a "carefully prepared estimate". (I'm a retired accountant, we can do that). Your point is well taken though; the NRA doesn't disclose much information about its donors, but there is some indication that your number is reasonable.

For example, Lee Fang of the Nation reports on December 14, 2012:

"The Violence Policy Center has estimated that since 2005, gun manufacturers have contributed up to $38.9 million to the NRA. Those numbers, however, are based on publicly listed “sponsorship” levels on NRA fundraising pamphlets. The real figures could be much bigger. Like Crossroads GPS or Americans for Prosperity, or the Sierra Club for that matter, the NRA does not disclose any donor information even though it spends millions on federal elections."

Also, your 75% number is about 92% accurate, by my carefully prepared estimate.
