Would Santorum be more popular running as "none of the above" than running as himself?

Santorum could announce that if he receives the nomination then he won't accept it. If Santorum receives the nomination, there won't be a Republican candidate for President, and Romney will then be able to vote for candidate Obama.

The question is: how much extra support could Santorum get by pursuing not only the anybody-but-Romney vote, but also the anybody-but-Santorum vote?
