Each specialty which currently does not allow women will be reviewed. After that review any determination that it cannot be open to women will be reviewed by higher authorities. Note that some specialties have physical requirements that all members have to meet (lifting a certain amount of weight etc). Nothing has been said about changing them.

The law does not require or allow women to register for the draft.

That is one reason I asked here. I did see this like from USA today

I had to consider if 18 year old men are required to register with SS, if now perhaps congress might force women to do the same.

Scary thought with all the wars and conflicts going on, which I personally disagree with, if congress does ever reinstate the draft, will it apply to everyone now?
