Cruz is actually going to be worse than Cornyn. A feat I would never have believed possible before Cruz came into the picture.

senate hearings yesterday? This guy is a very, very ambitious man. He might even be more ambitious than Eric Cantor. But he missed the best opportunity ever to show leadership and make an extremely advantageous move to get ahead with his party and with women voters.

For starters, his stupid questions about Al Jazera have nothing to do with the job requirements of DOD Sec, because the Sec doesn't set foreign policy. But Texas has 7 air force bases, 4 army bases, and 4 navy bases. Yet Cruz didn't ask a single question about future plans for these bases or what DOD is doing help service families in those communities.

More importantly, Cruz didn't ask a single question about the military's horrendous record about service women being raped. Here was a prime opportunity for Cruz to show women voters that Republicans do care about womens' issues. Am I surprised that he used his time to try and imply gthat Hagel was a Jew-hating agent of that secret muslim in the white house?
