CNN: How will babies named Jesus (pronounced hey-seus) save the economy?

This is good reading - I think we all have to understand the rate of birth in our country has gone way down in most of the old "European" nationalities like Irish, German, etc. and now is booming with Asians, Hispanics, and others from all over the globe. This is going to be the next generation and becoming citizens would give them a better reason to give our country a better future!

How will babies named Jesus save the economy?

CNN) -- For the last 20 years, what name is always in the top 100 most popular baby names given to boys in the United States? Jesus (pronounced hey-seus). And among 4,500 boys names in England in 2009, what was the No. 1 most popular baby name? Mohammed. In Brussels? Mohammed. Oslo? Mohammed. Amsterdam? Mohammed. And what do babies and their names have to do with the global economy? Everything.

The currency of the future is babies, because babies grow up to be taxpaying workers. Let's do Demography 101, which is basically the study of baby-making. Demographers have a fancy term called "total fertility rate," which measures the average number of babies a woman has over her childbearing years.

The magic number you need to remember is 2.1. This is the average number of babies a country needs to remain at equilibrium. It makes sense, too. When a mother and father die, they need to be replaced by two babies, or else the population declines. A rich powerful country needs lots of babies to project geopolitical power and increase its productivity. If you won't multiply, who will fight your wars? Who will pay Social Security to support grandpa? Who do you think will start the next Facebook, Amazon or Google?

The precise reason behind the GOP and Fundies never-ending war on women.

Murrika needs plenty of holy cannon fodder to fight it's holy wars until Jeebus gets back, dontcha know?

And when you have a society where the majority of people are living 20 to a house and picking in rich people's trash, what better inducement to enlist with your rich Uncle? 3 hots and a cot and all Uncle asks is that you go and kill Murrika's enemies.

Boomers are dying out now and where does that leave us in this country? You just can't argue with facts. Mohammed and Jesus are the next leaders and how we treat them now will mark their and our futures!

Fully automated killer drones changing face of warfare
Steve Tarlow September 20, 2011

The new American way of war is here, according to the Washington Post. Unmanned Predator drones piloted via remote control have already made a huge impact in the Middle Eastern theater, but now the U.S. Armed Forces have taken the next step in the evolution of warfare. New killer military drones – aka “Terminators” – are completely autonomous.

Automated death
In the 1985 Nebula and Hugo award-winning science fiction novel “Ender’s Game” by Orson Scott Card, young Ender Wiggin repels an alien invasion of Earth via the use of a fleet of military drones under his remote control. Card’s prescient vision of war via remote control was well ahead of its time in 1985. Now a human pilot via remote control isn’t even needed. Aerial Terminator prototypes are becoming increasingly able to hunt, identify and kill enemy targets based upon computations performed at the software level.

The illl and infirm will be left to die if they can't afford treatment.

That is the new capitalist order that's about to emerge. Ever wonder why we're seeing so much austerity? It's to usher in THAT era.

A rich powerful country needs lots of babies to project geopolitical power and increase its productivity.

I can understand that increasing the total size of the population will, until the point of diminishing returns is reached, increase both total production and total consumption. How does it increase productivity? To get an increase in productivity, isn't it necessary to find more efficient methods of production and not merely increase the number of workers? Also, what guarantee is there that as the population increases the unemployment rate won't also increase?
