3. He was afraid to run against a man

The cheap crap he dished out against Martha Coakley and Elizabeth Warren would've earned him hospital time, if used against someone like Lynch or Capuano.

4. It means that the democrats will hold the senate seat.

It also means that picking Kerry did not cause a problem for the democratic party.

7. I saw that there is a republican who ran for congress last year is going to run for the seat.

He was expected to defeat his democratic opponent, but the democratic tide in MA was too strong for him to win. I can not remember his name, but he will try to make it a race. I doubt he can.
