Barack Hussein Obama II IS ILLEGAL !
He should be IMPEACHED IMMEDIATELY, tried for TREASON, SENTENCED to death, and then have his body deported back to Kenya.

4. I love birther threads in Freeperland...

they've built up so many stories that just ain't true. And because there are SO many lies, they think that surely ONE of them must be true.

But a case built on one hundred lies is no better than a case built on one. It's just more convincing to the gullible.

For instance, in the post you quoted, they say his mother wasn't old enough to pass on citizenship. That would be true a) if he were born overseas and b) if legislation could trump the constitution (which they otherwise vehemently deny).

They also believe, wrongly:

Obama traveled to Pakistan when there was a travel ban for US citizens.
His first executive order was to seal all his records.
He registered at Occidental as a foreign student.
His Columbia ID has been scanned and put on the internet, and it clearly says he's a foreign student.
Kenya has erected a sign saying "Welcome to Kenya - birthplace of Barack Obama."
He lost his citizenship when he was adopted to Lolo Soetoro.
He was adopted by Lolo Soetoro.
The US Constitution clearly states that a natural born citizen is one born to two citizen parents.
The US jurisprudence is based on a Swiss legal philosopher.
That both his grandparents were either a) avowed communists or b) CIA agents.
That his grandmother is on record saying she witnessed his birth in Kenya.
That in a debate with Alan Keyes, Obama admitted he wasn't born in the US.

... and much much more. Not a single one of those things is true - but it's part of the birther mythology. I love reading those threads just to see how much people can delude themselves. My partner thinks I'm nuts for doing so, but I derive great pleasure from them.

5. My favorite "fact" about Obama's Kenyan birth

is that he was born in Mombasa, (Republic of) Kenya in 1961. But the Republic of Kenya didn't exist until 1963 and the area around Mombasa--formerly a separate protectorate--was not added until that time.

Funny how Orly Taitz never mentions that first, hilariously-fake Kenyan birth certificate any more....
