The parkin’ ticket off the mast
I was ripping it to shreds
When this coastguard boat went past
They asked me my name
And I said, “Captain Kidd”
They believed me but
They wanted to know
What exactly that I did
I said for the Pope of Europe
I was employed
They let me go right away
They were very paranoid

Well, the last I heard of Arab
He was stuck on a whale
That was married to the deputy
Sheriff of the jail
But the funniest thing was
When I was leavin’ the bay
I saw three ships a-sailin’
They were all heading my way
I asked the captain what his name was
And how come he didn’t drive a truck
He said his name was Columbus
I just said, “Good luck”

3. Totally 100% not PC but here's a question...

I completely understand why someone would want to come here.

I completely agree that undocumented residents are screwed and exploited in multiple ways.

I absolutely want those here now to have an immediate amnesty -- not into this "path to" nonsense.

BUT....


Are we not already awash in excess workers as is? Do we not currently see ludicrously overqualified people fighting and clawing for sub-poverty level jobs? Was it not the corporations and billionaires who funded and demanded the essentially open-border imigration policies that provided them human-meat for their mills and factories during the "Jungle" days?

Is it not possible that we are, once again, shooting ourselves?

AGAIN, please note, I am aware that this is a sensitive subject. I have NO interest in causing anyone offense. If I have I would like to apologize now. I only ask because these seem like reasonable questions based upon both our history and our current reality.
