I think it's fine for baseball star Prince Fielder to make $23 million+ per year.

But I also think he should pay an income tax rate of 39.6% on taxable income above $379,150, instead of the current rate of 35%.

So, I guess I am a communist.

I'm sure they could find some kid who would be happy to swing a bat for less than minimum wage ...

Similar to CEO-worker pay ratios in this country. Bill Maher is right : "The baseball playoffs are like the Real Housewives Of Orange County, you have to be a rich b**** just to get in!"

There is a hell of a difference between "a kid who is happy to swing a bat" and "a kid who can hit off Felix Hernandez or Mariano Rivera." And you know that.

I think all income over a million should be taxed at 75% over 500,000 at 40% and over 250,000 at 30%

As long as he doesn't turn around and buy Apple stock with it or in any other company leaving a trail of horror & human suffering in it's wake.
As for sports players and astronomical salaries. Well, I figure at least they are the ones who have the talent and have the potential for injuries. The owners would take it all if the players didn't and I have a hunch those rich bastards love horrible stocks.

I just don't want him in the American League Central Division. I'm a White Sox fan. I think we're fucked!
