Drivers in dozens of cities in Poland protest rising gas prices by driving very slowly
In dozens of cities in Poland, the driver protested on Saturday against rising fuel prices. The population of several dozen columns of vehicles they drove at a snail's pace of selected road sections, arrives at petrol stations to refuel after liter of fuel. Traffic in some areas has been temporarily blocked, but the more serious incidents did not happen. Drivers predicted that if the government persists, it will block the road during Euro 2012. However, not all drivers enjoyed this form of protest. - It's stupidity - some commented.
Individual protests are part of a national campaign "Stop the high prices of fuels in Poland." Vehicles that took part in them, were covered with posters and stickers with the image of a character who has a gun to the head from the distributor.
Protests consisted primarily of a free ride (40 km / h on the highway, on urban roads - 20 km / h). Drivers also block the gas station, filling up for a token sum.
Police could not prohibit the protest, unless the driver did not break the rules. In some cities, protests were held with the consent of the authorities.
