I think he's supposed to be in a skit with the Beibs... maybe as an extra? He was only signed to the cast for this one show, but I hope it opens some more doors for him... he's quite talented.

(11,541 posts)It was about FLOTUS Jackie.
In the only scene that wasn't cut out, I was standing up for LBJ's at JFK's Inauguration (not that I look exactly like him, but close enough I guess).

HooptieWagon
(17,064 posts)is a big deal, as far as I'm concerned.
He was roommates with another friend of mine who wrote a kick-ass musical while in college. Brendan (the guy who's on SNL) played one of the starring roles. The musical got all kind of rave reviews when it played 4 sold-out shows at USF, then won several awards at the Orlando Fringe Festival. I think Brendan has it in his resume. I was one of financial backers for recording the soundtrack, and helped a little with the mixing. Cast and musicians all immensely talented. Hoping the best for all of them, but crossing fingers for Brendan tonight!

(17,064 posts)Checked fb messages, he left one an hour ago saying that all three scenes he was to be in were cut! Damn, 15 minutes before the show... I guess thats show biz. He's disappointed, but in good spirits.

(30,252 posts)There are a lot, and I mean a lot, of skits that look like they're going to make it all the way up to broadcast, only to be cut by Lorne or one of the suits at the very last minute.
Sorry to hear about that. Better luck to your friend in the future.

(17,064 posts)My friend is young and talented. I'm sure he'll get other oportunities, but it's a bloody tough field to break into. We thought he'd gotten his opening. Oh, well.

(17,064 posts)Here is a musical the guy starred in:

It was written and produced by his roommate (another friend of mine) as a senior project. The guy who was to be on SNL played the role of Peter. The whole thing is pretty fucking awesome...but natch, I'm biased. There was a free download of the "clean" version available for a while...maybe on iTunes? I don't know if it still is. Def worth looking for...or just buy the full CD and help the guys out Chris is still deeply in debt for recording and production costs.
