Think Obama hates America? Let's review some points.
To begin with, the current economic collapse had its beginning under Bush, and the TARP and other bailouts were initiated by the Bush Administration. The situation was dire, and there was no time to structure a more reasonable alternative. Obama was left with little choice but to carry through with them or watch the economy collapse while he tried to build more effective policies, so he kept the old Bush financial advisers like Bernanke and Geithner on to carry out the plans they had devised.
Then Obama made a number of additional attempts to right the economy, but these were inevitably frustrated by Republican Congressional obstructionists. This was particularly obvious in the Senate, where they used continuous threats of filibuster to block action on legislation supported by the majority.
Many Republicans have as their vowed intention the destruction of Obama. To this end, they are willing to generate any amount of human suffering, to wreak untold damage on the economy, and to generally weaken America, just so Obama will lose the next election. They are currently in a bitter blue funk over the fact that under Obama, the economy is getting better and unemployment is going down.
What could be more despicable than thisa deliberate policy aimed at prolonging the misery of tens of millions of average Americans, and damaging the nation itself, all for political gain?
So just who is it that hates America?

Then senator Byron Dorgan of North Dakota said on the floor of the senate that it was a monumental mistake and predicted, "we'll be back here in ten years addressing the crisis created by this legislation."
