Palin Defends Newt, Calls GOP Elites 'Cannibals'

Palin Defends Newt, Calls GOP Elites 'Cannibals'
THEY'RE ATTACKING HIM HARDER THAN THEY DID OBAMA IN 2008, SHE WRITES

(NEWSER) – The GOP establishment are "cannibals" who have adopted the "politics of personal destruction" to defend their "chosen one," writes Sarah Palin on her Facebook page. Although the Republican establishment has long fought the grass roots, from opposing Reagan in the 1970s to the Tea Party today, Palin said these latest attacks in Florida against Newt Gingrich represent a major shift—Republicans attacking other Republicans in a primary with the unfairness and ferocity one would expect from the left.

Palin notes that this is not just about Mitt Romney versus Gingrich—it's establishment versus grass roots and independents. After all, "the establishment has been just as dismissive of Ron Paul and Rick Santorum," she writes. The big challenge is not just replacing President Obama, but "who and what we will replace him with." She questions "whether the GOP establishment would ever employ the same harsh tactics they used on Newt against Obama. I didn't see it in 2008," Palin writes. "So, one must ask, who are they really running against?" (This is why Politico calls Palin Gingrich's "secret weapon.&quot

Fire up the Doltentariat; let's get the Salamander another big win in the [s]Dangling Penis[/s] Sunshine State; so the Newt-Willard Mutual Immolation Society can keep rolling along through the Primaries.

They ARE gonna end up with a Dark Horse candidate after a brokered convention, I swear.

And the public will be pre-primed by the Primary season to look for the rich-guy corruption in whoever they pick. There ARE no Republican candidates who can pass the smell test, now that the unwashed public knows to look sniff for it.

somehow reminds me of Dr Frankenstein being hunted down by the Monster.

For someone whom everyone has written off as "dumb", she's making a pretty smart move here. Lots of Romney voters aren't happy with their choice but lack a credible conservative to vote for. And most people supporting Gingrich have had to swallow a LOT of their reservations first. She comes off here smelling principled, anti-establishment, anti-moderate, pro-ethical campaigning... and yet somehow above the fray.

This was a smart move.

and she certainly didn't have any problems participating in the politics of personal destruction when she claimed the President was palling around with terrorists.

She needs to go away already!
