Can we play, What If?

I know that this could not happen but, how do you think the Catholic Church (or even the World) would change if a woman was made The Pope? Like maybe one of the Nuns on the Bus, Mother Teresa if she was still alive or any woman? Just curious as to your thoughts on this What If...

Matilda of Tuscany would rise up out of her grave and scream - Ha ha beyotches! I won!

Look up the Investiture Contest. She's one of three women buried at St. Peter's Basilica.

Of course, it would never happen, but still interesting.

I'm not really sure. The Catholic church would probably implode, leaving all the wealth free to distribute to the poor and into museums, where it all belongs. Compassion would probably take precedence over ritual and doctrine. Then again, humans are human and there's no guarantee anything would change. Power corrupts and the Catholic church has a lot of it.

...that would be impossible.
Maybe she would have to be the Mope?

ganging up on her. First we need to get women in the priesthood and then have them elevated to Bishops and Cardinals before you will ever see a Pope. I having gone to Catholic school through college knew women among the nuns and particularly the Mother Superiors who would have made fine Popes, but it won't happen over night or perhaps even in this century.
