If the Republicans can break the unwritten rule not to filibuster cabinet nominees...

3. I say nominate Graham, and then badger him with Iraq WMD questions.

Then nominate McCain and do it again.

4. That would be an unusual tactic because Hagel voted for the war to find those WMD as well.

The only vote I can think of where he voted differently than McCain was his vote against McCain/Fiengold. The three of them all voted for Iraq War Resolution and Hagel did not 'oppose' the war for years after.

5. Is not just that vote ... its the cheerleading that McCain and Graham did after.

Hagel came to realize that the Iraq war was a huge mistake. And because he said so, McCain and Graham hate his guts now. That's wht McCain badgered Hagel about the "surge". McCain is trying to rewrite the history of Iraq.

McCain and Graham went on TV weekly in the run up to the Iraq war. They we're cheerleaders throughout. And they both think we should still be there.

I'd love to see them grilled about every comment or statement they ever made regarding the Iraq war.
