Bin Laden was a middle eastern radical making threats on the US until 9-11. Hussein was a middle eastern radical who had been making threats against the US for a decade or more. Those Dems who voted for going into Iraq did so because they felt Hussein had the inclination and the means (more means than Bin Laden) to do something similar.

Saddam was embargoed under an aircap with barely a shadow of what was once one of the more substantial military forces in the world, already EASILY destroyed by us.

Hussein presented less of a potential threat to US citizens than the leader of Belgium regardless of respective desire.

One year we will be discussing how little of an actual threat bin Laden was as well but he probably was in somewhat a better position to work mischief by the virtue of not being under "house arrest" and no doubt our best surveillance.

9/11 could have been prevented by "pre-9/11" means and thinking if any think and/or giving a fuck and/or not wickedly scheming had been on the menu but due to epic incompetence, evil and treasonous maliciousness, or some mixture it wasn't and has been ridden like Hunter S. Thompson in a rented convertible ever since.

Now that Rachel's searing exposé is out, should Obama direct DOJ to investigate, prosecute? Leaving aside the potentially awkward matter of whether or not he had a Constitutional legal responsibility to do so 4 years ago when he first took office, shouldn't he do so now? Everyone seems to think there's a hot trail of criminal conspiracy to commit war crimes here, so let's hear it!

It'll be interesting to see how the excitement dies down now.

Rachel started the show with Tonken Gulf before going into Iraq with the warning that if we cannot learn to take a stand against being led astray it is only a matter of time before it happens again.

I cannot forgive President Obama and his administrative for giving the Bush Administration a pass on their crimes.
