And I think this is the first time the run-up to Iraq has been put clearly. I am interested as to why it's happening now.

not anything new or didn't suspect. In fact, as hard-hitting as it is, I don't think it went far enough to expose the evil that sought to invade Iraq even before 9/11. But it's worth watching to remind us of the events and to see it laid out in one place.

that we all knew were going on, without the media whitewash that was overlying them. It was cringe-inducing, made you wonder how a whole country and its media could have been suckered so badly.

like Armitage, Walter Jones, and some from CIA, affirm what we knew.

is and has been clearly angry (and embarrassed) about what cheney+ were able to pull out. W. Jones similarly embarrassed, imo.

Notice Valerie Plame, discussing incredulity about Powell's U.N. statement?

I'm just wondering why the obvious is being repackaged now. Is it a pre-emptive strike against all those hawks who want to go into Iran?

but this was an interesting tidbit to affirm lack of evidence for war at CIA.

Don't know, but Rachel has been aggressively anti-war, seems to have been growing over time. She wrote a successful book on the subject, and might have been able to pursuade TPTB to go for it, and 'feed' MSNBC's viewing base.

but not really. Romney would have brought back all those same people and we might be preparing for war with Iran right now.

Nothing really new, though I hadn't heard public statements from Walter "freedom fries" Jones on his disillusionment with the invasion. With Iran on the neocon radar, I think this show is a timely reminder.

Of course we all knew he was bullshitting but he'll have a harder time denying it after tonight I would think.

"Hubris" was stirred up quite a few angry feelings and was hard to watch but I'm glad I did all the same.

The "aluminum tubes" and "yellowcake" nonsense were shot down almost a full year before Stupid made his case. We knew the worst here on DU about six months before the big event.

We knew about all the weapons having been destroyed in real time thanks to Scott Ritter and Hans Blix.

I think a great case was made that the whole gang knew damned full well they were lying their asses off about everything. They were just hot for a murder spree by proxy.

and frankly, nothing new.

I'm only half way through it and I'm colossally pissed off as I was back then.

I don't know if I'll finish it, the stress of listening to the war crimes is just not good for my stress level.

I have worked very hard to have peace in my life and all this program has done is brought back to the front and center the seething hate and distain for moron* and his henchmen.

I better stop now, because I feel a rant coming on and that's about as useful as spitting into the wind.

Deep breath, peaceful thoughts.

Peace.

I don't know if that was new, if I missed it the first time, or I'd forgot at some point in the last ten years.

Mostly it was just a well put together timeline of stuff the fraction of people who knew it was horseshit back then already knew.

...hasn't heard a lot of these stories. My kids were in high school and more interested in their IPods in 2003 than politics and war. That changed quickly when they started seeing their friends and their family go off and come back from these wars for profit and faced possibly being pulled into it themselves. They knew of the consequences but not of the "causes"...and I'm sure there are many others of their generation who may find this program...and the book...as an eye-opener...connecting dots and making things clearer.
