(22,271 posts)and, I'm sorry, it wasn't just Republicans. My own war-profiteering "Democratic" Senator Feinstein announced to the world that she had 10,000 communications to her office urging her to vote "no" on the IWR and about 300 urging her to vote "yes." She voted "yes" and got even richer than she already was in the process. Boxer, thank goddess, voted "no."
I just don't believe in blaming only one side here. We need to be HONEST. BOTH sides voted for war with Iraq including John Kerry ("I was for it before I was against it" , Hillary Clinton and John Edwards.

(694 posts)or get as active as this guy in subsequent opposition to the war and reaching out to the families of the dead. That's what moved me.

(22,271 posts)I realize that came off snippy and I didn't mean it to be. It's just that I've been reading lots of threads on DU lately that seems to have somehow absolved so many Democrats, and leading Democrats at that, of their culpability in the Iraq War debacle.
