Magistrate rules that Pistorious will be under 'Schedule 6' in arguing for bail:

“@barrybateman:
The defense will then have a "formidable challenge" to overcome. “@Ismatjie: If schedule 6 will it go on longer than today?””

@BBCAndrewH:
#OscarPistorius magistrate gives blow to athlete's chances of bail with early ruling on premeditated murder not murder. For now.

Schedule 6 makes it much harder to get bail. The magistrate was not overwhelmed with the defense arguments.
FYI South Africa has trials by judge not jury.

They've used his defense against him.

'Mr. Nel, the prosecutor, said on Tuesday: “If I arm myself, walk a distance and murder a person, that is premeditated,” he said. “The door is closed. There is no doubt. I walk seven meters and I kill.” He added, “The motive is ‘I want to kill.’ That’s it.”'

They're also making a point of the bathroom door being locked.
