Why are regular working people held to higher standards than politicians are? For instance,


look at Mark Sanford. Went AWOL when he was governor to go visit his girlfriend in Argentina.

Would you even think of hiring someone who did something like that?

and why would they make laws to make their lives harder? But I agree, why is it ok to drug test people getting help from the government but not CEO's of corporations and politician's?

you don't have to vote for them but that voters often don't give a * about these type of things actually makes you wonder why employers do. Why fire a good worker for a facebook post you think will hurt your companies PR when so often the vast majority of voters would elect to political office someone that did the same thing? Why do so many companies live in fear of a small, but vocal, few over the vast majority of people that really don't give a * about this. I dislike Mark Sanford for his politics and the laws he supports. That he bangs his girlfriend in Argentina really doesn't factor into my life.
