The Weather Channel on weather .com says "Winter Storm Warning from Wed, 6am until Wed, 11pm MST" up top of the screen.

A WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM TO 11 PM MST WEDNESDAY. THE ELEVATION HAS BEEN ADJUSTED DOWNWARD TO INCLUDE LOCATIONS AT AND ABOVE 3000 FEET.
* IMPACTS... HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED WITH SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW ESPECIALLY AT HIGHER ELEVATIONS.
* TIMING... EXPECT ACCUMULATING SNOW TO BEGIN AROUND SUNRISE WEDNESDAY MORNING. THE HEAVIEST SNOWFALL IS EXPECTED TO OCCUR FROM 9 AM TO 7 PM WEDNESDAY. SNOW SHOWERS WILL DECREASE FROM WEST TO EAST WEDNESDAY EVENING AND DIMINISH LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT.
* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS... STORM TOTALS OF 3 TO 7 INCHES BETWEEN 3000 AND 5000 FEET... FROM 7 TO 14 INCHES BETWEEN 5000 AND 7000 FEET... AND FROM 14 TO 19 INCHES ABOVE 7000 FEET. LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS ARE POSSIBLE AT HIGHEST MOUNTAIN ELEVATIONS.
* SNOW LEVELS... BETWEEN 3500 AND 5500 FEET AHEAD OF THE COLD FRONT WEDNESDAY MORNING... FALLING AS LOW AS 2800 FEET BEHIND THE COLD FRONT DURING THE DAY WEDNESDAY... THEN AS LOW AS 2200 FEET WEDNESDAY NIGHT.
* WINDS... STRONG AND GUSTY WINDS ARE EXPECTED. SOUTHWEST TO WEST WINDS OF 20 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 50 AND 55 MPH ARE POSSIBLE. THE STRONGEST WINDS ARE EXPECTED IN THE HIGHER TERRAIN... AS WELL AS ACROSS COCHISE AND GRAHAM COUNTIES.
* FOR A DETAILED VIEW OF THE HAZARD AREA...

... HEAVY SNOW EXPECTED... THE WINTER STORM WARNING HAS BEEN LOWERED TO 3000 FEET. THE WINTER STORM WARNING HAS BEEN REPLACED BY A BLIZZARD WARNING IN SOME MOUNTAIN LOCATIONS.
Why did this happen my first winter here in AZ? I came here to get away from this!!!!!!!!!

(10,745 posts)Sorry about the problems. At least here in Texas the weather has largely been normal for the winter, outside early December, the Christmas chill and a few other outliers(but that isn't uncommon anyhow, outside those two events I mentioned.).....

(14,120 posts)The clouds are clearing and I can see the Mountains now. This is my first Winter here so I have only seen the snow on the mountains maybe a couple of times. This is the first time I saw it this far down on them!
