but i also don't really care to hear them talk about acting. that's why i usually don't watch entertainment talk shows and things like award shows.

i just watch the movie, tv show etc.

It really is that simple.

Besides, what do you expect from any such award show? The Oscars are a self serving, self congratulatory party for the movie industry. What, you think they're going to tell you that they are unimportant?

Then how do you know they are talking about how "without them there would be mass suicide in the streets?"

OK, that's fine.

But you see, lots of people in lots of professions like to think that what they do is one of the most vital jobs on the face of this planet, and some actually make a very good case for that point.

It is human nature to impart importance about what one does. It bolsters the sense of self worth, improves mental health, hell, it just might make a person have the ability to get through a really crappy day. In other words, it is human nature. My suggestion, just roll with it and move on.

just use more drugs in their attempts to escape reality.

i've come to a place where i think most entertainment is propaganda & mind control.

and saw the profession we call acting I doubt they would understand it. If you think about it, it's weird. People act out all this terrible drama and pretend scenarios and the rest of us sit there and watch it.

What a weird behavior. Every now and then while watching something where the acting and dialouge seems particularly contrived, I will find myself looking around and asking myself: What are we all doing?

I'm not sure real acting is all that valued in America, though.

I'm talking about the kind where any woman can look any way she acts.
It's not about "looks."
