(135,425 posts)It's an awards show for entertainers, by entertainers--who are the people who make up "The Academy." It's an "Insider's" award show--we just get to see how they think.
People boo when anyone tries to make it political.
It would set the issue back.
If they want to do it when they make the talk show rounds with their statuette, fine...but not tonight.

(16,038 posts)they don't care. It is the ones who are still needing to sell every ticket, DVD or CD to insure against slipping into the dustpan of unemployable washouts in Hollywood..IOW, most of Hollywood/music, who are business challenged and make such statements..
