He saw AIDS as a health problem without all the fundy bullshit certain politicians were attaching to it...he said what needed to be said. RIP

and had enough integrity to tell the truth: there were none. He outraged the fundies thoroughly with that one.

I didn't agree with him on much of anything, but I did respect his honesty and professional integrity. RIP, Dr. Koop. You respected your oath and did no harm.
