The Unstable Elements In Colorado Making Gun Threats All The More Reason To Pass Gun Legislation

The atmosphere in Colorado is getting ugly because the NRA in inciting violence against anyone who would pass or vote for sensible gun control measures. Based on some of the actors at town halls the most threatening and loud opponents of gun control are the same old white racist teabaggers who hate government so much they believe they need their assault weapons to overthrow the government. They are the same kind of paranoid old white male racist element who want the government out of their Social Security and Medicare.

All the more reason they should not own guns. They are a danger to themselves and the community. And the NRA is stirring them up.

that one crow-bar the NRA could use would be to freak some of us old-timers out about "reefer madness", or at least those of us who don't know anything about cannabis anyway, so something should be done about their ignorance on that matter. Probably not, however, getting any of them high, just, perhaps, taking advantage of whatever opportunities there are to do the sorts of things that help the two different communities mix, so that they can see that they have nothing to fear from the cannabis movement . . . ?

I know if I were as desperate as the NRA and gun manufacturers and dealers are, I'd inspire paranoia by any means possible and the bigotry against cannabis is an easy ride.
