Christie unveils $32.9B N.J. budget that expands Medicaid, covers pension payment
In expanding Medicaid coverage, Christie today became the ninth Republican governor to bolster President Obamas Affordable Care Act by participating, starting in January. The move means the state will benefit by about $227 million in the first six months of 2014. Under president 's plan, the state program would be reimbursed at a higher rate than it is today. The expansion would add 104,000 people to the 1.4 million already covered.

I fought against it and believe, in the long run, it will not achieve what it promises. However, it is now the law of the land. I will make all my judgments as governor based on what is best for New Jerseyans.
He noted that he twice vetoed the creation of an online health exchange, a virtual marketplace people could use to shop for insurance policies.
