Most Republicans IN government are hostile to the ideal OF government

So they go out of their way to cripple the way that government can benefit most people, but favors the benefit of a select few.

Then they go out of their way to impede the ability of most voters to put in place people who do believe in a government that benefits all.

They know that they're the problem, but they place the blame on the people who ARE trying to help.

Anyone with eyes can see who's causing the problems here.

tell the entire story. It will make more sense when we can show how they prefer to operate, because they don't actually HATE government. They hate it when they can't corrupt it. They actually love it once they hijack government and it works for their crony groups at the expense of everyone else. Essentially, they ignore the Fourteenth Amendment, which frees city managers and city attorneys to engage in backroom conversations with key people in the community. Once they keep the key people happy, those people are free to bully everyone else into silence. We call it cronyism, but we need to take it one step further and identify the process they use: fraud, conspiracy and cover-ups. Cronyism is a euphemism.

So to say that they "are hostile to the idea of government" is exaggerated/misleading. They have a favorable view of certain parts of the government (i.e., the armed forces) and a less favorable view of other parts of the government (i.e., Medicare, Medicaid, welfare, etc.)

But they can't… So, they've tried their best to OUTSOURCE much its functions to private enterprise.

They are doing their best to convert our military into a wholly owned subsidiary of corporate defense contractors.

Their hostility towards the military as a part of the government is extant as well, but their hands are tied only so far.

By their logic, when they get sick they should choose a doctor who doesn't believe in medicine.

They are hostile to Federal aid of any kind unless it is for themselves and big business.
They want the freest government on earth but don't want to pay for it with their lives or their resources. They believe it is more blessed to take than to give.
