JUICE#3: OMG, MARYLAND JUICE SUPPORTS LEGISLATION SPONSORED BY TEA PARTIERS // WHERE IS THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY ON CIVIL LIBERTIES? - They say a stopped watch is still correct twice a day, and on certain civil liberties that saying may apply to the Tea Party.
Maryland Juice recently stumbled upon legislation (HB558) being sponsored by Tea Party members that I actually support. Drunk-boating, anti-gay lawmaker Don Dwyer and a handful of Republican Delegates are sponsoring the "Maryland Liberty Preservation Act of 2013" which would prohibit state agencies and employees from aiding the United States in detaining people under the National Defense Authorization Act. Specifically, the lawmakers appear to be attempting to protect Marylanders from being unconstitutionally detained without trail by the Feds:

(84,711 posts)given the differences....BUT...People need to Wake Up...whether Dem or Repug...there are "good people out there" who are suddenly understanding that "Co-operation" about some issues could really work to do Legislation for the People. Except that the Koch Brothers and ALEC and all the MIC and the Entertainment Industry is still in control.
BUT...IT's GOOD WE KEEP AT IT. MUSCLES..

(84,711 posts)so..maybe it will, eventually. It's good to have hope...about it though.
wishful thinkers who keep working against all odds..I guess.

(32,139 posts)Is it possible for us to support this with Republicans, because it is the right thing to do?
Or has the corporate propaganda worked so well that it is more important to circle the wagons and oppose a Republican than to stand up and fight for the restoration of our fundamental civil rights?
Here we are. A chance to actually UNITE across parties against the unconscionable.
What will we do?

(84,711 posts)think it will take more time before there's some kind of COALITION of AMERICAN PEOPLE...so DISGUSTED...that it comes together.
But I was delighted with this first step from Maryland to see how this goes.
BTW... Got this from the new "Sunlight Foundation Site" that will allow quicker access to what our STATE BILLS (most of them from Koch/Petersen/Koch Brothers and Other Lobbies..(many of the Dem in orientation, also) to see what is going on in our Individual State Legislatures.
It's easier than wading through "GOVT.OR" for some of us.
CHECK THIS OUT it's Cool:

(9,002 posts)Obviously still a pressing issue since a Democrat is still in the White House.

(9,002 posts)This is really about protecting white people with guns - because Obama has just been chomping at the bit for over 4 years to round them up in FEMA camps and take their guns.
This piece of legislation (and the Oath Keepers) are the only things stopping a one world socialunism government from already being in place.

(84,711 posts)run with it if they get this passed than go after them on the other.
What do you think about that strategy?
